The Beef Cattle Show is comprised of both breeding stock and market production animals. You will see both purebred and mixed breed animals. The rump, hind quarters, feet and legs are the most important traits. Most exhibitors use a show stick to place the animals feet
and help to keep it calm in the show ring.

The market animals are judged on traits that will be profitable to the farmer.
