SAWMILL DEMONSTRATIONS

Come & see the mill in operation!
Demonstrations run daily all during Fair week

Hemlock Fair's sawmill is an Ireland #6 circular mill made in the late 1930's by the
Ireland Machine and Foundry Company in Norwich, New York. It has a 52" diameter blade
with 44 replaceable teeth and is powered by a 100 horsepower, 6 cylinder International diesel engine. We can saw logs up to 24" in diameter and 18 feet long on this machine.
A crew of six people is required to operate the mill efficiently.
