Sheep
are judged on those physical traits that indicate leanness
and quantity of retail product, and ensure the health
and comfort of the animal.
Breeding
classes combine the importance of sound legs along with
size, muscling and leanness.
Market
classes focus more on thick muscling and leanness.
Sheep
raised for wool will be evaluated on the physical quality
of their fleece. These sheep will not
look as "white" or clean because they are
not washed with shampoo which would damage
the quality of their fleece.
